Sapporo — ramen, snow, and the last few days

Flights inside Japan feel almost like long train rides — you check in with barely any fuss and you’re airborne twenty minutes later. Hokkaido from above looks like an enormous, very orderly forest.

A week in Sapporo

Snow was still melting off the mountains when we got in. We walked a lot, ate miso ramen three nights in a row, and took a day trip out to Otaru that I keep thinking about.

Going home

This is the last leg. We fly back to Tokyo, then home. The van is waiting for us in Adelaide and, the honest truth, so is the next trip.
